2008 Section C-5A Conclave

The 2008 Section C-5A Conclave will be held on the weekend of September 12-14, 2007. It is being hosted by the Kit-Ke-Hak-O-Kut Lodge and will be held at Camp Cedars near Cedar Bluffs, NE.

    National Leadership Seminar

    The National Leadership Seminar is a weekend conference on the skills and attributes of leadership. It is intended primarily to enhance the leadership skills of the Order of the Arrow’s key youth and adult members as they seek to improve their services to the Boy Scouts of America and the greater community. The weekend format is designed to complement the longer, more detailed Wood Badge and Junior Leadership Training Programs. Near the end of the seminar, participants make a contract with themselves to apply the skills studied in the seminar on projects in their lodge, council, and community.

    National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar

    The National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar (NLATS) is a weekend conference focusing on the skills and attributes of effective lodge advisers. It is intended primarily to enhance an adviser's knowledge of and connectivity with the OA's strategic plan, program and resources, while emphasizing personal skills that are essential to the development of effective youth leadership and ultimately the OA's service to the council.

    ArrowCorps5

    What do you see yourself doing during the summer of 2008? Sitting at home, complaining you are bored, waiting for summer camp week to get here? Wouldn't you rather be a part of something big? How big you ask? How about 5 US National forests, over 5 weeks with 5,000 Arrowmen? ArrowCorps5> is the largest, most complex, most challenging conservation project ever conceived by the Order of the Arrow.

    Over 8 days you will have a chance to participate in a variety of activities that may include trail building, brush removal, cleanup activities, reconstruction, and one fun-filled action packed day of adventure. These projects will have a lasting impact for generations allowing tens of thousands to enjoy the efforts of ArrowCorps5.

    National OA Wilderness Voyage

    Have you ever seen the Northern Lights or portaged a canoe? If not, then the Order of the Arrow has the opportunity for you to participate in the OA Voyage Program at Northern Tier Canoe Base in Ely, Minnesota.

    Since 1999, the Order of the Arrow has provided Arrowmen between the ages of 16 and 21, the opportunity to explore and service the Boundary Waters and some of the most pristine wildlife seen by few.

    National OA Trail Crew

    Watching the sun rise upon the mountain horizon of Mount Baldy is a memorable experience that one will remember for the rest of their life. The Order of the Arrow wants to provide you with the chance to experience that moment and to explore the backcountry of the Philmont Scout Ranch where Arrowmen from across the country gather each summer to take part in fellowship, fun and service.

    All Arrowmen who arrive are separated into crews led by OA Trail Crew Foremen who have been trained in various conservation techniques used to assist in solidifying in the pristine wilderness that is Philmont.

    National OA Ocean Adventure

    Want to go swimming with the fishes this summer? If so, the Order of the Arrow Ocean Adventure is for you. Who else can say that they learned to scuba dive, helped save the earth and had a lot of fun with total strangers all in two weeks?
