Basic Information

What Is A Section Conclave?

A Section Conclave is a gathering of the Order of the Arrow members from the five lodges that make up Section C-5A in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and South Dakota. This annual event provides the opportunities to gather in fellowship for training, competitions, activities, patch trading, and lots of OA fun – cause when else are you around 250 other OA members?

Can Anyone Attend?

YES! All OA members are able to attend. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our Order, meet new friends, and have a great time.

What are some of the Events and Activities?

Just some of the fun you can look forward to are:

  • Casino Royale – Friday night, earn bucks and win prizes
  • Shows – Saturday night theme show
  • Training – ceremonies, planning rockin’ events, membership retention, how to become a National Officer, just to name a few
  • Sports & Special Events – VIA Luncheon, silent auction, ropes course and climbing tower, Lodgeball, ultimate Frisbee

What do I need to bring?

The most important things to bring is your health form. Each person must have a filled out Class 1 health form and this must be brought to conclave. [Download a Health Form here]

Other items you should bring are: a tent, sleeping bag, extra clothes, Scout uniform, OA sash, outerwear for expected weather, OA Handbook, notebook and pen, patches to trade, spending money for the trading post and/or patch auction. Remember: you are expected to be in a Class A or B uniform all weekend (or your Secret Agent attire).

Where is it and how do I register?

The 2008 Section Conclave is held at Camp Cedars near Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. You must register with your local council - the deadline is September 1st for your form and money to be in the council office! BUT for ONE TIME ONLY, Late registrations will be accepted with only a $5.00 late fee!
